Delorean vs BambooHR

For most small companies, HR software is bought for four things: knowing who works here, what they earn, when they are off, and hiring the next one. Everything beyond that — payroll runs, tax filings, benefits administration — matters enormously at a certain size and not at all before it. BambooHR does the whole spectrum. Delorean does the four, connected to the rest of the company.

FAQ · Delorean vs BambooHR

The 10 questions people ask about Delorean vs BambooHR

Is Delorean an alternative to BambooHR?

For a company that wants records, salaries, leave and hiring in the same place as its work, yes. If you need payroll runs and tax compliance, you need a dedicated HR system.

How does leave work?

The person requests it, their manager approves or rejects it, and the approved absence appears in the company calendar so nobody plans work for a week when half the team is away.

Who can see salaries?

Only owner and admin. It is not a permission you have to remember to set — the module is closed by default to everyone else.

Can I publish a job opening?

Yes. It appears on your company's own public page, at your own address, without paying a job board.

Does it run payroll?

No. The salary is part of the employee record; producing and filing payroll is not something this pretends to do.

Can employees download a payslip?

Not yet. It is on the roadmap.

Does it track hours or shifts?

Not yet. For a restaurant or a pharmacy, where the shift is the payroll, that is a genuine gap today.

Is there an org chart?

Not yet — who reports to whom is not stored, so there is nothing to draw.

Can I onboard a new hire with a checklist?

You can build it on top of tickets with a template. There is no dedicated onboarding module.

Does it work for a company with offices in several countries?

The product works in three languages. Country-specific labour compliance is exactly what a dedicated HR system is for.
